These smaller-scale figural knockers were highly popular in England from the 1920s through the 1950s for cottage doors, bedrooms, or office studies. Today, they are actively collected as whimsical examples of vintage British brassware. It features pre-drilled top and bottom mounting holes, making it ready to be screwed directly into a door or mounted onto a display board.
Condition Notes:
- Cosmetics: Great vintage condition with an attractive, unpolished deep golden brass patina. It retains natural age-related tarnish in the crevices which nicely highlights the textured details of the casting.
- Structure: Solid brass casting with no cracks, breaks, or repairs. The pivoting hinge mechanism functions smoothly and lets out a nice, clear knock.
