Description
For sale is an original vintage Swedish Military Parade Belt Buckle (Modell 1960) for the Artillery Branch. This is a beautiful two-piece interlocking box buckle assembly finished in a bright gold gilt plating, officially manufactured by the famous Swedish maker Sporrong. Both rectangular panels prominently feature the crisp, raised emblem of the Swedish Artillery: two crossed historic cannons positioned over a flaming ordnance bomb and a wavy sea line.

- Condition: Vintage, pre-owned condition. The gold plating remains exceptionally vibrant with a beautiful bright finish and minimal surface scuffing on the front faces. The interlocking mechanism and rear belt loops are completely intact, solid, and fully functional. Please see photos for exact condition.
Historical Context
Introduced in 1960, the Parade Belt m/60 (Paradskärp m/60) was designed for the Swedish Armed Forces to accompany ceremonial and formal gala dress uniforms. While standard infantry variants featured the Swedish Three Crowns (Tre Kronor), specialist branches received customized emblems.
The crossed cannons symbol has historically represented artillery regiments since the era of the Swedish Empire. This piece was struck by Sporrong, a legendary manufacturer founded in 1666 that serves as an official purveyor to the Royal Court of Sweden, ensuring excellent striking quality and highly collectible appeal.
