This is an original vintage wrestling programme for an event held in Chelmsford on Tuesday, May 4th, 1965. This is a classic example of the “Joint Promotions” era of British wrestling, featuring a high-caliber international card. This original four-page vintage copy of Wrestling Review (Issue No. 338), edited by the well-known wrestling journalist Charles Mascall. This issue is a significant piece of memorabilia from the peak era of British professional wrestling. The front cover features Angelo Giusto, the “Spectacular Italian Whirlwind.” A former trapeze artist, Giusto was famous for bringing high-flying athleticism to the ring. The caption notes his return to the UK alongside his brother Pasquale Giusto, following their successful tours in the mid-1960s.
Main Event & Star Attractions: Main Event (Heavyweight): The legendary Canadian powerhouse Paul Vachon (Montreal) vs. Gordon Nelson (Manitoba). Paul “The Butcher” Vachon is a household name in global wrestling history.
