This is an original vintage wrestling programme from Tuesday, June 19th, 1979, held at the Civic Hall, Wolverhampton. Promoted by Best/Wryton Promotions Ltd (members of Joint Promotions), this card features several of the most famous names in the history of British televised wrestling.
Star Attractions & Matchups:
- Main Event Heavyweight Clash: Mighty John Quinn (Canada) vs. the legendary Big Pat Roach (Birmingham). Roach was a massive star both in the ring and on screen (Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, Indiana Jones).
- Technical Masterclass: Jim Breaks (Bradford) vs. Golden Ace John Naylor (Wigan). Breaks is legendary as one of the most technical “villains” of the era.
- International Debut: Features Tokyo Joe in his “First appearance in this country” taking on Popular Mick McMichael.
- Additional Bouts: Ray Thunder vs. Alan Dennison and Chato Pastor vs. Superstar Sanders.
