Description – Up for auction is a 100% genuine, guaranteed original First World War British Army Territorial Force cap badge for the 5th London Brigade, Royal Field Artillery (RFA). This is a highly collectible, scarcer regional variant that is a prized find for artillery and London unit specialists.

- Territorial Variation: Features custom scrolls reading “FIFTH” at the top and sweeping into “LONDON R.F.A. BRIGADE” across the bottom.

History – The 5th London Brigade, Royal Field Artillery (RFA) was an elite part-time unit of the British Territorial Force, originally raised and headquartered in South London (Kennington/Paddington). Traceable back to the 19th-century Victorian volunteer movement as the 3rd Middlesex Artillery Volunteers, the unit was re-designated under the Territorial Force reforms of 1908.
When the First World War broke out in August 1914, these local London “citizen soldiers” were immediately mobilized for full-time imperial service.
