Size approximately 34 mm tall and 47 mm wide and lug to lug 00 mm….. I believe this to be an Original badge, in very good condition but showing genuine signs of age……. Please study pictures carefully to decide.

Description:

A genuine vintage Royal Canadian Dragoons (RCD) other ranks’ brass cap badge. This is a high-quality stamped brass piece featuring the iconic “bounding springbok” over the regimental scroll.

This particular example is a desirable early pattern with the original long vertical slider fitting, typically associated with the First World War (WW1) and inter-war era service caps.

Key Features:

Regiment: Royal Canadian Dragoons (Armoured Regiment).

Design: Bounding Springbok mascot above the “Royal Canadian Dragoons” scroll.

Fitting: Original Long Brass Slider .

Material: Brass / Gilding Metal.

Era: WW1 / WW2 Period.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with a beautiful aged natural patina. The details are sharp and clear. As seen in the photos, there is a small amount of old white residue on the back of the slider, which is common for uncleaned attic-find militaria.

Note to Collectors: This badge has not been cleaned or polished, preserving its original historical character. Please see the high-resolution photos of the reverse to confirm the authentic slider “crimp” and stamping.
