Item History
The Royal Canadian Army Service Corps was the essential branch of the Canadian Army responsible for land transport, supply, and logistical operations. During World War II, members of the RCASC served with great distinction alongside Allied forces across Europe, including the Italian Campaign and the Normandy landings. This specific badge bears the “GVIR” cypher of King George VI, definitively dating its manufacture and issue to the wartime era (1936–1952) before the corps updated their insignia for Queen Elizabeth II.
