Description: Up for sale is an authentic, original World War II era cap badge for The Royal Norfolk Regiment. This classic piece of British military history is die-stamped in crisp brass and beautifully details Britannia holding her olive branch and trident alongside her Union Jack shield.
The Norfolk Regiment received its “Royal” prefix in 1935 to celebrate King George V’s Silver Jubilee. During World War II, battalions of the Royal Norfolks fought bravely across multiple vital campaigns, including the defense of France, the Dunkirk evacuation, the Normandy D-Day landings, and the heavy fighting in the Far East. The regiment was amalgamated in 1959, making these original mid-century badges a finite piece of British Army history.
