The King’s Regiment (Liverpool) traces its lineage back to 1685, with the White Horse of Hanover being awarded to the unit in 1716. This post-1926 pattern badge design with the horse on a torse was worn universally by regular and territorial battalions throughout World War II. The unmarked reverse slider on this badge indicates typical large-scale contract manufacturing intended for immediate field issue to other ranks.
