The modern Yorkshire Regiment was officially formed on June 6, 2006, through the amalgamation of three historic Yorkshire infantry units (including the East Yorkshire Regiment, which originally wore this rose and lion motif). This specific insignia variation was contracted to the London Badge & Button Co Ltd for dress uniforms. The manufacturer’s stamp dates this badge directly to the post-2006 modern era of British Army deployment, making it an excellent historical point of comparison against older wartime variations.
