Description
This is an exceptionally rare, museum-grade 1974 official luxury boxing dinner programme, menu card, and live fight card from the elite Anglo-American Sporting Club. Held at the London Hilton on Park Lane on Monday, 2nd December 1974, this exclusive black-tie gala was hosted specifically “In Honour of Muhammad Ali” just weeks after his legendary “Rumble in the Jungle” victory over George Foreman.
The inner pages contain the complete itinerary and the live boxing schedule for the evening. The feature bout showcases British boxing legend and 1968 Olympic Gold Medalist Chris Finnegan taking on Fulham’s Victor Attivor. The undercard lists premier domestic fighters including Manchester’s Phil Martin and Brixton’s Mickey Jay. A spectacular, comprehensive piece of 1970s British and global boxing history.
Condition
The item is in breathtaking, pristine vintage condition. The interior fight card page is exceptionally clean, bright white, and free from any hand-written results, scores, ink marks, or dinner table stains. The typography remains bold and entirely sharp. The external silk cord binding and hanging decorative tassel are beautifully preserved, completely original, and untangled. Please review the high-resolution photograph to inspect the crisp interior state before buying.
Item History

To honor Muhammad Ali during his historic 1974 London tour, the Anglo-American Sporting Club assembled an elite night of live professional boxing right inside the Hilton ballroom. The card was headlined by Chris Finnegan, one of Britain’s most beloved fighters of the era who had previously fought the legendary Bob Foster for the World Title. The card also features Phil Martin, who went on to become a highly influential trainer and community leader in Manchester boxing history. Because guests usually wrote the fight scores directly onto these pages during the live bouts, finding a copy with a completely clean, unmarked fight card is extraordinarily rare.
